Use this symptom to screen infants for sensory and regulatory disorders. Determine whether a child may have a predisposition toward developing sensory integrative disorders, attention deficits or emotional, behavioural or learning difficulties. This resource helps to eliminate guesswork and identify troublesome early indicators.

Use this resource as a starting point for diagnosis. Screen infants who are behaviourally difficult and exhibit disturbances in sleep, feeding, state control, self-calming and mood regulation. The checklist includes items that measure the domains of:

  • Self-regulation
  • Attention
  • Modulation of sleep/wake states
  • Responses to sensory stimulation
  • Attachment and emotional functioning

This criterion-referenced checklist includes six versions: a single short version for general screening purposes and five age specific screens for: 7 to 9 months, 10 to 12 months, 13 to 18 months, 19 to 24 months, 25 to 30 months.
