The now-famous Maroon Spoon, available in two sizes, continues to be a favorite of swallowing therapists. The narrow, shallow bowl makes the spoon ideal for feeding therapy. Maroon Spoons are perfect for working with children with problems such as poor lip closure, oral hypersensitivity, or tongue thrust. While extremely tough and break-resistant, these plastic spoons are not recommended for use with clients who have severe bite reflex.
For hygiene reasons, we recommend that Maroon Spoons be replaced regularly due to teeth and scratch marks. While extremely tough and break-resistant, these plastic spoons are not recommended for use with clients who have severe bite reflex. They are lightweight, have no sharp edges, are produced with high-density polypropylene, easy-to-clean, and dishwasher safe. No heated drying.
We recommend these spoons be washed in a standard diswasher without heated drying. Continued use of heat sterilizers may cause plastic to dull or discolor.
